Wedding Fest
 

Our wedding party will be on July 19 from high-noon to 7 at the Edgebrook Woods Forest Preserve near the intersection of Devon, Caldwell, Central and Lehigh (enter the forest preserve off of Central).  The ceremony will take place at 2:09, but the festivities will begin at noon.

The grove is on the Eastern side of Central.  The driveway is about halfway between the red star on the map and Devon.  Look for the RED "Forest Preserve" Sign.

There is only one picnic shelter in this grove so you should have no trouble once you find the driveway. 
Our goal is to have a good ole time with a couple slow-roasted meats,  hand-crafted beers, and cheeses (something smoked, something goat, something blue).  For entertainment, there will be Bocce and Volleyball, and hopefully croquet. And of course, eating and drinking.  Dress is as informal as the rest of the event (e.g., shorts & sandals). Folks from in town, please feel free to bring chairs, frisbees, and other usual picnic gear.  There will be plenty of picnic tables and yes, there are real bathroooms.
To accomodate all of our vegetarian friends, to avoid the mediocrity of catering, and to ensure gluttonous variety -- this is a potluck picnic. We'll supply pig, lamb, beer, & cheese. Folks from in town, please bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert or whatever you want to share. 

 
Public transportation to the picnic site: 
Take the blue line to JEFFERSON PARK and Take the 85A BUS  (85A!!!!!! not 85nothing). 
It runs every half hour at 20mins and 50mins past the hour. If you just miss one, you might consider walking up Central. It's about 1.5 miles.

Some north-siders might consider taking either the Foster or Lawrence bus to the Jefferson Park stop. Also, bus 84 from the Red-line Bryn Mawr stop will take you directly to Caldwell and Central, which is only 1/2 mile north of the Preserve.
